Phoenix, Arizona – September 29, 2017 – Liberty Iron & Metal Holdings, Inc. (Liberty) today announced Mike Diamond as its new chief executive officer. Mr. Diamond will replace Mike Greulich, current CEO of Liberty, effective October 1, 2017.
Change in Leadership Sets Liberty Up for Success
Diamond currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Liberty and prior to that, served as Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Iron & Metal Holdings, Inc. Mr. Diamond is a recognized leader in the scrap metal recycling industry with over 20 years’ experience. As CEO, Diamond will be responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s strategic direction and management of the company resources for future expansion and growth. Mr. Diamond will maintain his position on the Board of Liberty.
Worth Howard has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective October 1, 2017. Mr. Howard previously served as Vice President of Operations of Liberty. He will be responsible for implementation and improvement of the Company’s operational infrastructure, processes and personnel. Mr. Howard and Mr. Diamond have worked together for over a decade and share the common belief in nurturing a success-oriented, accountable environment for the Company.

Building on his expertise and global knowledge of the metal recycling world, Mike Greulich has been appointed Chief Trading Officer (CTO) of Scholz Recycling GmbH and as a member of its Board, effective August 1, 2017. In this role he will be responsible for Scholz key accounts worldwide and for identifying synergies with Chiho Environmental Group. Mr. Greulich will continue as a member of the Board of Liberty. Mr. Greulich and Mr. Diamond have worked side-by-side for the last several years and anticipate a seamless transition of responsibilities.
